A Mixed Experience
My husband and I recently dined at The Oyster Bar and had a somewhat mixed experience. We were warmly greeted by our waiter, Luke, who was not only nice but also humble, making us feel welcomed from the start. He promptly seated us on the patio, which seemed like a lovely idea at first.
However, our outdoor dining experience was quickly marred by a swarm of flies that plagued our table. After a bit of time trying to enjoy the view, we decided to move inside, which turned out to be a great choice. The air-conditioned room provided a refreshing escape and took our minds off the pesky flies outside.
I ordered the Gator Tacos, which were absolutely delicious—full of flavor and a fun twist on traditional tacos. My husband opted for the Chargrilled Oysters, hoping they would be reminiscent of what we enjoyed in New Orleans. Unfortunately, he found them lacking and was quite disappointed.
Overall, The Oyster Bar has potential with its inviting atmosphere and delicious food, but the patio area definitely needs some attention—perhaps a thorough cleaning to help reduce the fly problem. If you're considering a visit, I’d recommend dining indoors for a more comfortable experience.
