Loved the visit. The pâté was great, served on fried brioche. The meat platter allows you to try brisket, pork ribs, and sausage, and there is enough food there for two. This is also true for the lemon pie; don't go and order two desserts unless you are really hungry. The lemon pie was huge.
Well shoot.... I honestly wasn't expecting this place to go so hard, but truth be told, it was an incredible experience. The bartender, whose name I can't recall (downstairs bar, Friday night 11/8) was one of my favorite bartenders I've ever had in Austin. Knowledgeable, busy but not rushed, super helpful, present, genuinely kind, and made a killer cocktail. Every course of food was truly mouth watering. The staff was working fluidly together, which led to us having wonderful service. We will definitely be back. Thank you Lambert's for setting such a high bar.
Loved the Brisket. Waffle fries were excellent. Drinks were mixed balanced and the craft beers did not disappoint. The live music made it difficult to talk at times and we had a patron near us that used the F word in every sentence. Waitress was attentive and other employees removed the dishes promptly and kept our water glasses filled. Tables could be bigger to hold all their delicious food.
This is a great place for a brisket sandwich, and you have to leave room for the banana pudding. My wife left saying this was one of the best meals she's ever had.
I enjoyyyyedd so much going to Lamberts for my first meal in Austin. I found the place a little bit by chance and I was highly satisfied by the service. I was taken care of by Will. I loved his energy and professionalism. Food was also great: I had the 3 meats plate. It was heavy - as expected :) I also had an Old Fashion, that I liked very much. Would definitely recommend !
