Hands down THE BEST PANCAKE I’ve ever eaten! I’ve been craving a single pancake for months! I’ve also been driving past the Early Bird for months and timing just wasn’t right as I could never find a parking spot. But today! Today was the day the stars aligned and it was surprisingly slow. I sat at the bar and ordered the pancake with the house made sausage, bacon, and a fried easy egg. Everything came out quickly and the staff is very friendly and welcoming! They’ve got a pretty varied menu for a diner and I love it! Will definitely be back with the wife to tray some other offerings! The friend tomato’s are calling my name! Grew music and atmosphere and the have some clever pictures of Ice T on the Tea and Ice machine that made me chuckle inside and I appreciated the ambience! Great job to you all at the Early Bird and kudos to the kitchen staff! You’ve got some talent back there! Unfortunately I ate my food before I could think to grab a. Picture it tasted so good! Out if all the places we’ve eaten in Charleston all week, this place was the best. Better grits than I’ve had at many fancy restaurants!! Super buttery and seasoned but simple. Shrimp were moist and not overcooked. Pecan crust on the chicken was good, big portion of white meat and a big waffle at a good price. Nice low noise level, comfy little booths (they don’t look comfy but they are really ergonomic!!), and a fantastic chill server. I’ve never had someone make a waffle so well??? I don’t know who’s back there in the kitchen but I bet breakfast at their house is bomb. I’ve never had a cinnamon waffle batter and it was a huge surprise. It tasted like if Cinnamon Toast Crunch was homemade and made with real ingredients, and had the tiniest bit of crisp on the waffle. And the biscuit was fluffier which I usually don’t like but it was amazing. Everything was so simple and great. 10/10 y’all, we’ll be back! Stay unpretentious 😎

Great place to go if you love excellent diner food and big portions (which I do)! My son got three pancakes and they were each the size of the plate...he barely ate half - took the rest to go. The biscuits are scratch made and excellent. I also recommend the homemade sausage which is crispy on the outside and super flavorful. Our waitress was super busy, but she hustled well and did a fantastic job. Parking can be tricky, but we made it with a full size Transit van.

I waited all weekend for this moment ! I seen a video on tik tok that just stole my heart & knew I had to stop in for some food! The bacon was crunchy! The gravy didn’t need any extra salt & pepper! The chicken was juicy & the omelette with potatoes hit the spot!

Stopped here On my way! To a cruise. It was a packed place to have bland food. We got the sorry your food took a little longer because a few people seated after us received their food already
